Joubert & Associates’ Training Programmes

It’s time again for Joubert & Associates’ Winter School!  This year, we will be focusing on in-house training which can be presented in the comfort of employers’ own premises.  We have various training programs and packages for management, supervisors and operational employees, which include amongst others the following:

Discipline in the Workplace

This is a practical and well-tested training program that assist managers (and senior supervisors) in a step-by-step manner with the theory and best practice of handling day-to-day disciplinary problems in the workplace. The emphasis is placed on healthy relationships and a proactive management style. The target group is Human Resource Managers and persons responsible for managing staff and maintaining discipline. Participants are equipped with the skills to conduct disciplinary investigations, act as chairperson or company representative during disciplinary hearings and make appropriate findings and sanctions.

Through our involvement in various change management and organisational development programmes over more than 30 years, we developed our unique “Results and People” leadership and management program. Participant are assisted to implement meaningful and sustainable change on a personal level as well as within the workplace. Customer Service

Customer service is of critical importance for all organisations. Retaining clients, obtaining referrals and recruiting new customers are the direct result of outstanding customer service. Our “Make a Difference” customer service training course has been tested in various South African industries and is tailored to organisations’ unique needs. Emotional Intelligence

During this training programme, the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace will be demonstrated. Using the EQi 2.0 model (focussing on self-awareness, self-expression, interpersonal skills, decision making and managing stress), participants are equipped with techniques to improve and develop their emotional intelligence. They are also taught the necessary skills to overcome certain obstacles regarding interpersonal skills (e.g. stress, conflict and poor communication).

Performance Management

The performance management process is more than just an annual performance review. It is a continuous process of setting objectives, assessing progress and providing on-going coaching and feedback to ensure that employees are meeting their objectives and career goals.  The model advocated by Joubert and Associates includes an interrelated set of management tools that are aimed at managing people, results and remuneration.  This program will assist employers to successfully implement performance management systems in their organisations.  It is, indeed, only within a relationship of trust that managers (as leaders of people) are able to guide staff, through coaching and mentoring, to improved performance.
