Senior Procurement Executive


The ideal incumbent is a passionate and dynamic leader who is committed to accelerating performance, passionate about adding value to the customer experience and who embraces the company’s “mens-mense” culture.  The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the group’s Agri Channel Category in terms of sourcing, contracts, procurement and purchasing services.  Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for the management of a team of highly specialised procurement managers in giving effect to the group procurement strategy.


  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Commercial or Agricultural)
  • A minimum of 10 years’ related agricultural procurement experience, of which 5 years should be at a senior management level
  • Ability to integrate data analytics, scenario planning and execution
  • Ability to handle complexity of a procurement book valued at R4b+
  • Ability to progress and add continuous incremental value
  • Sound pragmatic judgement

  • Agri central stock planning and allocations
  • Agri central buying, demand forecasting, bulk ordering, spot buying, expediting & claims
  • Agri central selling price management on selected ranges and bulk supply agreements
  • Good governance in all aspects of the Agri Channel Category management environment
