Personal Assistant


Advantage Agri Products, a well-established agrochemical service provider in Paarl, is offering an exciting opportunity to a flexible, dynamic and energetic individual who is eager for an opportunity to learn and develop.

The incumbent’s main responsibilities will include a variety of administrative and PA tasks. The incumbent will also be required to drive the Managing Director (who suffers from a vision impairment) to various clients and suppliers in the Western Cape.  Other responsibilities will, amongst others, include the following:

  • Devising and maintaining office systems (e.g. data management and filing)
  • Taking notes or dictation at meetings and provide general assistance during presentations
  • Screening phone calls, emails, inquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate
  • Organising and maintaining the Managing Director’s diary and making appointments
  • Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the Managing Director
  • Taking dictation and minutes
  • Carrying out background research and presenting findings
  • Producing documents and briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the Managing Director is well prepared for meetings
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff on behalf of the Managing Director when required
  • A variety of life management tasks (e.g. running errands, arranging travel, etc.)


  • Valid driver’s licence and proven driving experience
  • Diploma/Certificate in Office Administration would be advantageous
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as travelling times may vary
