Sonlia is a fruit packing company, situated in Wellington, which packs various types of fruit (such as citrus, prunes, nectarines, pomegranates etc.) for several producers.  The company requires the services of an energetic and motivated Sales Manager who will report directly to the Managing Director.

The incumbent will primarily be responsible for market analysis and sales of products on an international and local level to ensure a competitive advantage for Sonlia.  Other responsibilities will include the following:

  • Management of sales according to annual sales budget
  • Research, monitor and analyse market trends
  • Increase sales through sustainable price realisations and excellent customer service
  • Retain existing client base and recruit new customers
  • Oversee logistical function of exports and local sales
  • Budgeting, cost management and reporting
  • Quality control


  • Proven sales experience
  • Experience in the fruit industry
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales (and Marketing)
  • A confident, energetic and outgoing personality
  • Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • High levels of emotional intelligence
  • Strategic and analytical thinking
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Very good communication skills (groups and individuals)
  • Language proficiency (Afrikaans & English)
  • Good administrative and computer skills

A market-related remuneration package, in accordance with qualifications and experience, will be agreed upon with the successful candidate.
