Western Cape Fruit Processors



Western Cape Fruit Processors currently requires the services of an experienced HR Manager. Associated Fruit Processors (AFP) and Elgin Fruit Juices (EFJ) amalgamated to form this new entity. The major shareholders of the new company are Coca Cola Beverages SA, Two-a-day (Pty) Ltd. and APSAP.  The successful applicant will take full responsibility for all aspects of HR management for two processing plants with a workforce of approximately 400 staff members.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following key functions:

 Development and implementation of HR strategy

  • Workforce planning and sourcing (talent management)
  • Personnel remuneration
  • Performance management
  • Succession and career planning
  • Training and development
  • Organisational development (implementation of organisational initiatives / changes)
  • Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Reporting and administration
  • Employment relations (disciplinary, trade union relations, CCMA engagements)
  • Employee administration & support


  • Honours Degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology
  • Registration with the SABPP as a chartered HR Professional will be an advantage
  • Approximately 10 years’ experience in a similar HR management position
  • Professional knowledge of HR best practices and labour law
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (English & Afrikaans)
  • Well-developed computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership qualities
  • Confident and self-assured
  • Highly motivated and performance orientated
