Admin Assistant (9 month temporary contract)

H. Steyn Agribusiness, is a well-established agrochemical sales agency and service provider, situated in Wellington. The company requires the services of a self-disciplined, bright individual with strong administrative skills to assist with data capturing and ad hoc tasks on a 9-month temporary basis.

The incumbent will be required to perform his/her duties predominantly in the afternoons/evenings remotely, due to the nature of the company’s operations. During peak season these tasks will approximately require three working hours per day, five days a week.

Main responsibilities:

  • Record keeping and filing
  • Capture delivery note data onto a software program daily
  • Assist with client invoicing
  • Continuous communication with the Managing Director and delivery/depot team
  • Assist the delivery/depot team with enquiries relating to the monthly stock taking
  • Place product orders on an ad hoc basis

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Administrative experience / qualification will be advantageous
  • Excellent numeric skills
  • Computer literate
  • Accurate, detail-orientated and thorough
  • Excellent communication skills (English & Afrikaans)
  • Residing in Wellington (prerequisite)
  • Stable internet connection

The successful incumbent will be provided with a laptop, the relevant software packages and monthly contributions to cover mobile phone expenses.
